S.B.V. Slopend is a student outdoor sports association, which was founded in 2009. Since then, it has been a growing association with over 200 members. Slopend leans on three pillars: the survivalrun sport, expeditions, and bushcraft.

There are 11 training sessions every week, varying from beginners to advanced. Survivalrun is a sport that combines running with obstacles. Swinging through ropes and climbing over beams and nets, you name it! Trainers will teach you how to overcome these challenging obstacles using various techniques and by building strength.

Does hiking through the Alps, or horse riding through Kyrgyzstan sound like a dream come true? Then perhaps the Slopend expeditions would be something for you. If you want to challenge yourself even further, you could join a group for a winter expedition. Hike or ski. Sleep in a tent or igloos. In the winter. In Lapland (Finland)!

Bushcraft is based on the idea of surviving minimalistic in the wilderness. Knowledge is acquired, honed, and preserved within the association. Workshops are organised frequently, and there are a few weekend trips which you can go on and challenge yourself to survive with as little you have.

If you weren’t convinced yet, there is more! Slopend is a close community and many members enjoy our monthly social drinks and/or barbecues. Because Slopend is also a truly diverse association, members or committees organise various activities such as climbing or bouldering, mountain biking, and surfing.

Once you join Slopend, you can choose to do anything and everything, and nothing is mandatory!
