Expertise
I embrace multi-scale modelling of transport phenomena (heat and fluid flow) in metallurgy and materials processing, thermal energy systems and Micro- and Nanofluidic devices. I am broadly interested in energy science and data- and physics-driven engineering and optimisation for real-world engineering problems.
Biography
Amin Ebrahimi is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at the Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime, and Materials Engineering (3mE) of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). Broadly, his research focuses on advanced multiscale modelling of complex heat and fluid flow problems in metallurgy and materials processing (welding and additive manufacturing), thermal energy systems, and Micro/Nano-fluidic devices.
