Profile

Background

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences (Geophysics/Geology track) and master’s degree in Earth Structure and Dynamics (Geophysics track) from Utrecht University in July 2016 and February 2022, respectively. My master's thesis focused on the geophysical inversion of relative GPS motion data in the Mediterranean Region. During my master's, I completed a six-month research internship at Shell in 2020, where I reviewed methods of spatial data interpolation for the regionalisation of stratigraphic forward modelling inputs. Subsequently, I served as a data engineering and data science trainee at the Nederlandse Spoorwegen from May 2022 to April 2023, gaining valuable work experience in IT and Python programming.

Research

In December 2023, I joined the Applied Geology section and Delphi Consortium as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Geiger, Dr. Eric Verschuur and Dr. Hemmo Abels. My research is dedicated to integrating state-of-the-art seismic reservoir characterisation and reservoir modelling techniques for enhancing our understanding of how geological heterogeneities in fluvial geothermal systems impact the quality of seismic images.
