Biography
Since 1989 I worked as a project manager at various architect- and consultant firms in the construction world. Starting from 2003, I work as a independent project manager and as Assistant Professor of Design and Construction Management at the Faculty of Architecture of the Delft University of Technology.
Expertise
My aim is to integrate practice into education and research, vice versa. I have developed my expertise developed mainly in the field of feasibility, project plans and managing the design stages. Beside giving courses in the field of project management and academic skills I'm currently mainly engaged in research into the design of project management.
Research interests
My research interest is (project)management theories or -concepts e.g. Design Thinking and what project managers in the AEC industry actually do.
