Biography

Verónica Zagare is an Architect. She graduated cum laude from the University of Belgrano, in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000. She is Master in Urban Economics by Di Tella University, Buenos Aires and also attended a Specialization of Histories of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires. She is conducting her PhD at the Department of Urbanism, at the Architecture Faculty of Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands). Her research addresses the development of planning instruments to deal with natural territories, growing urban processes, socio-economic events and climate change, focusing her investigation on coastal areas, especially on the case of the Paraná Delta (Argentina). Besides having published in peer-reviewed journals and having attended to international conferences, she has been a teacher at the University of Belgrano and also at the University of Buenos Aires. She is currently a researcher at the Instituto Superior de Urbanismo of the University of Buenos Aires and Coordinator of The Argentinean Wing of the international organization Delta Alliance.
