Teams can draw great potential from diversity. As a division coordinator I support our principal investigators in all ways to attract talent to improve diversity in our teams.

My goal as the chair of the OdC-QuTech is to facilitate discussions all over QuTech about Diversity & Inclusion. When the corona measures were lifted we could finally organize a third D&I event, in person. We called it “Inclusion Table and Drinks”. We prepared tailor-made statements for QuTech so that people could discuss what they meant to them individually as well as for QuTech as a whole. The format, which included small groups around standing tables, switching randomly at any moment and rainbow-coloured balloons to identify the different statements at the tables, turned out to be perfect for the event. It resulted in the feeling that we understand each other better and it generated further discussions on D&I.
