P. (Pouria) Paridar MSc

Profile

Intro:

I am a PhD researcher at the Policy Analysis Section, Multi-Actor Systems Department at the Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management (TPM) of the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).

Having a multi-disciplinary background in Engineering and the Social Sciences alongside spending several years at different universities, I moved to South Holland via South-West England, originally from South-West Iran as I believe TU Delft is the best place for working on interdisciplinary, multi-disciplinary, and of course, transdisciplinary research.

Research Interest:

My research interests lie in the use of different simulation methods, such as Discrete-Event Simulation (DES), Agent-Based Modelling (ABM), and System Dynamics (SD) in addressing healthcare and freight transportation problems.

I'm also interested in the applications of qualitative research and participatory methods, such as Design Sprints and Community-based workshops for determining the research problems, identifying the scope, and communicating the research results with the stakeholders.

Further, I am usually eager to synthesise, categorise, and disseminate the evidence in my fields of interest using scoping and systematic review methods.
