Teaching & Learning Services relaunching Teaching-Support

Back in March Teaching & Learning Services (TLS, part of Education & Student Affairs) announced in the Educator consolidated support for TU Delft educators, formally known as the One-Stop-Shop project. A quick recap for anyone who missed this: this project is aimed at creating a single portal (Teaching-Support) where you, as a lecturer, can go to get support and advice for anything regarding your teaching responsibilities. This can include, but is not limited to: questions about training or about Ed-Tech tooling, advice on courses and on-campus, hybrid, blended and online education, etc. This portal is both digital and physical, letting you search for information via the website tudelft.nl/teaching-support in your own time or talk directly to our support staff in the IDE building next to Teaching Lab physically, on the phone or per email.

Renewing our website

TLS is very busy now with a complete overhaul of the current website teaching-support.tudelft.nl. Until now it has predominantly been used to support educational tools (such as Brightspace, Ouriginal, etc). In January TLS plans to launch the renewed teaching support service to include didactical and training matters. It will continue to add more educational services to encompass the full teaching experience of a TU Delft lecturer.

Expanded and connected staff

Teaching-Support will be the first thing you should think of when you feel you need help with anything teaching related! The TLS team has grown enormously in the past year to be able to provide all the support demanded, but you won’t need to navigate a byzantine org chart to find who you need. Simply contact teaching-support@tudelft.nl and get direct help or be introduced to the teaching expert you need.

Partnering with other services

In January phase 1 of the project will be complete: you will be able to connect with all the services that TLS has to offer through a the Teaching-Support website, email or phone number. Then phase 2 of the project begins. TLS will start incorporating other types of support that educators need, but which are not housed within TLS, by partnering with other departments in TU Delft. This in order to have one single entry point for lecturers for all questions and information about anything that impacts your teaching responsibilities.

TLS is looking forward to 2023 when no lecturer will feel lost as to where to go when they need help with their teaching responsibilities in TU Delft!
