Redesigning Chemical Innovation
How can we make room for innovation in the chemical sector while making sure that new chemicals and chemical processes are safe and sustainable? The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W) and Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) have just published a collection of eleven essays by experts. Two of them were written by TU Delft researchers.

The history of Safety Science from 1800-present: a visual summary
Safety and security sciences boast a rich and multidisciplinary history of nearly two centuries of intriguing and impactful research and development. Nevertheless, these fields are still on the fringe of formal scientific recognition and public awareness of their influence on daily life remains limited. The TU Delft Section of Safety and Security Science (Department of Values, Technology, and Innovation) created a series of enlightening posters to help remedy this.

New funding, new directors, new participating faculty, new themes: TU Delft Safety & Security Institute continues its work
TU Delft Safety & Security Institute mandate has been renewed for another 5-year period to continue its work with and for the safety & security research community at TU Delft. For this next chapter of the institute, Behnam Taebi will hand over the directorship to Eleonora Papadimitriou and Justin Dauwels. Together they will take the lead as co-directors. With Mechanical Engineering joining, the institute now represents the safety & security communities of six faculties.
