Corona Update Following Press Conference 28 September

News - 29 September 2020 - Communication

Yesterday, the Dutch government announced stricter measures to be able to break the second wave of the coronavirus. X, of course, takes these measures very seriously and does everything in its power to ensure a safe environment. For now, adjustments are only required at Cafe X and the changing rooms and some events may be adjusted, cancelled or rescheduled.

X’s offer
Fortunately, X’s offer in its current form already complies with the announced measures. So you’re welcome to take part in ticket hours, association activities and make use of the fitness. The courses, which will start on Monday 12 October, also meet all the measures. From Monday 5 October, you can therefore register with confidence.

Adhere to the measures
We would, however, like to emphasise that it is extremely important to adhere to the safety measures at all times. Please read them again on our website under Terms and Conditions.

Catering
Cafe X is primarily seen as one of the catering facilities on campus, where more people than just athletes like to come. Due to the mixed composition of X visitors during the week, it’s decided that Cafe X can remain open. However, as of today, Cafe X will close earlier, at 22:00. From 21:00, no new visitors will be allowed to come in and the bar will be closed. In addition, the capacity has been limited: inside there is room for up to thirty people and outside on the terrace up to forty people. The table layout has also been adjusted, so that, while keeping distance, you can sit at a table with a maximum of four people.

During weekends, X mainly organises sports activities and our catering mainly facilitates visitors who make use of the sports facilities. In order to contribute to the objective behind the measure to close the catering facilities of sports facilities, Cafe X will not be open during weekends.

Events
Several events are planned for the coming weeks. We will consider per event whether or not it can take place. Keep a close eye on our website and social media.

Changing rooms and showers
Changing rooms and showers are still closed. X had made an exception for visiting teams that come to X for league matches; they could use a changing room. Now, we must reverse this exception, which means that visiting teams must also leave X immediately after the match.
