AI Booklet presented during festive End of Year AI Lab Lunch

News - 21 December 2023

On 14 December, the End-of-the-Year AI Lab Lunch celebrated the achievements and remarkable growth of AI at TU Delft with more than 100 people at Café Labs, which was named ‘AI Labs’ for the occasion. This festive event was the perfect moment for the launch of the TU Delft AI Initiative’s booklet— a collection of activities, highlights and successes. Salua Hamaza (BioMorphic Intelligence Lab) presented her team’s experience in the XPRIZE Rainforest challenge, Artur Schweidtmann (CHEME AI Lab) discussed the impact and opportunities of digitizing data, and Gosia Migut (AI Education) showcased the Machine Learning Teachers Community. Geert-Jan Houben, Pro Vice Rector AI Data & Digitalisation at TU Delft: “When you look at AI around TU Delft you can only be impressed, by both the volume of activities, and the amazing quality and collaborations. People working together from different corners of the university as well as with external partners. I’m also impressed by our hands-on society oriented work, done with passion, energy and fun. We are working on a solid foundation for further impact, and we can be confident about the future.”

We thank all TU Delft AI colleagues for a great year!
