Pilot shower tokens: working towards a green campus [Update: April Fools' Day]

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS' DAY! 

Some of you knew, some of you thought we were really capable of doing this. Of course we will spare you changing to a shower token system all of a sudden. If we were really to consider such an idea we would definitely test the water first ;)

But it does makes you wonder... How sustainable is your lifestyle?

By 2030, TU Delft aims to be operating in a completely sustainable manner. In this way TU Delft wants to contribute to the quality of life for its users and for nature. At X, we are also looking into ways to make a (more) positive impact on the environment. With rising energy costs, we now want to kill two birds with one stone in this area. Of course while making sure that we will still offer the services you are used to!

From 10 April we will start with a pilot in using shower tokens. Currently preparations are being made.

How it works? 
When showing your X subscription at the hosts, you receive 1 shower token per day, which can be used at all the showers at X. 1 shower token equals 30 seconds of showering.

When you would like more tokens, they will be for sale at the Concept Store with a cost of 2 euros. But of course, we hope that you will work with us in reducing our water footprint! The pilot runs for 3 weeks, and after that we will gain all the insights and see if we will permanently work with this new system at X.
