Rubicon grant for researcher Bo Li

News - 24 January 2024 - Communication BK

Researcher Bo Li has received a Rubicon grant from NWO for his research on financialisation of rental markets. The grant will allow him to gain two years of research experience at a foreign institution.

The increasing presence of institutional investors in rental markets is causing its financialisation. This can create problems in terms of housing affordability. This quantitative research project analyses the developments, patterns and consequences of FINRENT in OECD countries and some developing economies. This will strengthen the theory of financialisation and protect housing rights.

This year's coveted funding has been awarded to 14 promising young scholars. Experience abroad is an important step in many scientists' careers. The programme offers young, promising scientists this opportunity.
