Pink Closet
Hi! Let's address the pink elephant in the room: I am the Pink Closet.
Please keep an eye out for me in the coming months. I will be travelling all over the TU Delft Campus and wherever I go you will also meet members of True U, the TU Delft Pride organisation. Feel free to come and meet us and talk about anything under the rainbow.
Be assured that the Pink Closet is a safe space. We want to provide a positive environment for anyone – whether you are an ally (or want to become one!) or a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.
Call to action
At True U we want you to think about what it means to be ‘in the closet’ or ‘not out’ as a member of the LGBTIQ+ community. We invite you to create a safe space for everyone by using inclusive language, opening conversations that are non-heteronormative and support members of the rainbow community.

If you are confronted with discrimination, other undesirable behaviour or suspect a breach of integrity at TU Delft, you can go to one of the confidential advisors for support and advice.

Join us for lunch
On the first day that the closet is at a new location, we will gather for lunch at the restaurant of that location. Lunch will be from 12:15 until 13:15. Please feel free to join us. You will have to bring or buy your own lunch. You will recognize us from the Progress Table flags.
About True U
True U is the lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer+ community from the TU Delft. True U aims to support a working environment in which everyone feels free and safe to be themselves. Through True U you are able to meet other queer folks to get to know each other, to talk about issues related to our community and to share experiences. Our network provides advise to the Executive Board, Diversity Office and HR.
Suicide prevention for LGBTIQ+ people
Sadly, suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts are much more common under members of the LGBTIQ+ community than any other group in society. It is therefore very important that at TU Delft we create a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTIQ+ students, employees and visitors alike. It is important that LGBTIQ+ acceptance and inclusion remain at the top of the agenda when it comes to Equitiy, Diversity and Inclusion at the TU Delft.
