The nursing home for dementia is a place where the patients spent there last days of conscious life. The ambition of the author is to create an inner world, a world of memory and meaning.
The basic organization is based on the existing elements: church, school, trees, and the feelings of places. New buildings are situated in order to enhance the definition of places, surrounding a series of open space oriented to the church, the school, and the dwellings of the nursing home, which are connected into a circular loop. By doing so, an infinite inner world is created within the limited plot.
The project is based on the study of courtyard typology, the connection and transition of spaces in different discourses. The rhythm of narrow and wide, norm and surprise, and static and dynamic spaces enriches the wondering experience with in the infinite mini world.
