On Juli 4, the symposium 'Day of the New Architect' takes place.

To mark the departure of Thijs Asselbergs as Professor of Architectural Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of the Delft University of Technology is organising the symposium 'Day of the New Architect' on Tuesday 4 July. The moderator is Indira van 't Klooster, director of Arcam.

14.00 aE studio: Insight and approach. With Annebregje Snijders (architect/teacher), Mo Smit (lecturer/researcher) and Marcel Bilow (lecturer Bucky Lab).
14.30 aaE studio: Collaborating with practice. With Pieter Stoutjesdijk (The New Makers), Chris Aerts (AplusV / Bouwlab), Karin Kuipers (Circlewood) and Tom Frantzen (architect / Openbuilding.co).
15.00 Who is the new architect? With Veerle Alkemade (podcast Respons / Rijksvastgoedbedrijf), Aafke Simonides (Stylos / student TU Delft) and Madeleine Maaskant (director of Amsterdam Academy of Architecture).

Time and location

Tuesday 4 July 2023 at Oostserre, Faculty of Architecture, Julianalaan 134 in Delft. Parking in the area is very limited. The Faculty of Architecture is easily accessible by public transport.
