Seminar: A visualisation tool for collaborative housing in Europe

07 October 2021 10:00 till 11:30 - Location: Berlagezalen & Online - By: Communicatie BK | Add to my calendar

During this event the results of the Co-Lab Mapping project will be presented and the tool will officially be launched.

Available data on collaborative housing is so far restricted mainly to qualitative case studies. While some umbrella organisations collect quantitative information on collaborative housing at regional and national level, these data are scattered and there is a lack of standard definitions. This prevents a comparative understanding of the relative size of the sector and an accurate analysis of trends. The Co-Lab Mapping project aims to help cover this knowledge gap by providing a validated categorisation of different collaborative housing forms in Europe, and to map them in a scientifically-informed database and visualisation tool.

In this webinar, we will present the Co-Lab Mapping project and officially launch its visualisation tool. This will be followed by a panel discussion with international experts on collaborative housing, focusing on the importance of developing and maintaining a systematic tool of quantitative data collection across Europe, so as to inform better research, policy and practice in collaborative housing.
