The One Stop Shop for TUDelft lecturers

Written by Fabio Luelmo

Perhaps you may have heard this term in the last few years: the One Stop Shop for lecturer support. This One Stop Shop will be the place where lecturers can go for whatever help they need regarding their teaching.

What will it look like?

This place will consist of a dedicated support team to answer your questions and help resolve your problems and also a support website full of information on teaching, which you can use or search in.

You will find all kinds of support you need for teaching: help with tools (for example, Brightspace or Ouriginal) help with didactics (for example, curriculum design or blended learning), help with training (for example, the University Teaching Qualification) and much more that helps you become a better instructor or just help you get through your day.

What already exists

Hopefully you have already had experience with our Brightspace Support team. Housed within Teaching & Learning Services (TLS), part of Educations & Student Affairs, this team is ready every workday to support lecturers with (technical) questions around education. Over the years we have expanded our support to not only deal with Brightspace, but most other educational tooling as well. To reflect this, we have recently rebranded our Support team and our support website to teaching-support.tudelft.nl. This webpage will continue to be the basis of the One Stop Shop project as it will further expand to provide an even wider range of support.

What we have done until now

In the last quarter of 2021 extensive research was done among all faculties, interviewing over two dozen instructors on what kind of support they need regarding teaching. This has formed the basis of what a new version of Teaching-Support will be. A new user focused website is being designed and processes put in place so that the users, you the instructor, can go to and be in contact with just one place.

What the future will bring

Just like building an app, expansions to support will be added depending on the need of the users. That is where you come in! This project is user focused so user feedback will be built in to the experience. Together we can ensure that instructors get the support they need so that their teaching experience reaches the highest quality for their students and themselves.
