Thomas Burdyny is one of the top 8 finalists of ISO Docent van het Jaar 2022!
The ISO Docent van het Jaar 2022 nomination, is an award that every university in the Netherlands sends their application of their best lecturer nominee to. The nominee of TU Delft, Thomas Burdyny (TNW), was selected as one of the top 8 finalists this year!
Thomas Burdyny is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Recently, he was elected Best Lecturer of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Best Lecturer of TU Delft.
Drawing upon his expertise in Climate Change and Global Energy Usage, Thomas teaches several Bachelor and Master courses and he mentors (PhD) students. He is a lecturer driven by his strong belief that lecturers play a crucial role in sparking a student’s lifelong interest in learning and in making important societal impact. Thomas lives by the philosophy of “Teaching through connecting and connecting through teaching”.
