Check out the updated online TU Phonebook/search function!

As of Monday 1 November, the look and feel of the TU Phonebook/search an employee will be updated. This means that from that moment on the TU Phonebook will look different; this will happen automatically and will include all TU employees.

The main change is that from that moment on the current information from different existing systems will be brought together and displayed on one page, known as the phonebook.

This page reads in information from background systems such as Pure, E-service, coursebase, PeopleSoft, etc. This process is fully automated and does not require any individual action from the employees.

---------------

Example of present versus new look & feel: (not to be sent round by everyone for privacy reasons) if you want a specific sample from your faculty/service to use as an example, please ask Robin Barbier for one in plenty of time.

For us as communication, it is important that when you receive questions, you give the key message that changes to the source text must take place in the source systems.

No changes can be made in the telephone book itself. So your role is primarily to refer anyone with questions to the existing line.

In practice this means that in the case of erroneous or incomplete information, this must be corrected in the underlying systems.

For example: research-related information comes from Pure, information on this must be coordinated by the staff member with the faculty information coordinator.

The photograph can be changed in E-service, questions about E-service should always go via the Service Desk, HR information should be changed in PeopleSoft etc.

The following document shows where you should change what information. In principle members of staff should already know this.
