IDE graduation project implemented at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital
‘De Verhalenvijver’ (The Story Pond), the graduation project of IDE alumna Paulien Verlaan, will be opened on Tuesday 21 January in the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital in Amsterdam. The Story Pond is an interactive experience for cancer patients and their relatives to share experiences and thus be better informed about the aftercare process in particular.
The project was carried out for the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital (Netherlands Cancer Institute). Paulien was able to continue working as an information management consultant after her graduation. That is special in itself; a designer with a permanent job in a hospital. In the meantime, after four years, her graduation project has been realised in the Antoni van Leeuwen hospital and will be opened on 21 January. In 2015 Paulien graduated with Lyè Goto and Marijke Melles for her master Design for Interaction with specialisation Medisign.
