IDE Learning for Life – Empowering professionals

The vision of our university is to contribute to solving global challenges by educating new generations of socially responsible engineers and expanding the frontiers of engineering sciences. Our contribution to these global challenges does not stop when a student graduates: TU Delft has a responsibility to continue to provide engineers with the (latest) knowledge and expertise to support them in their careers.

To provide adult learners with quality and accessible learning opportunities for professional and personal development throughout their lifetime within the context of Science, Engineering, and Design with the aim of building a better society together.

- Mission Statement from the TU Delft Lifelong Learning strategy

MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)

TU Delft offers ‘Massive Open Online Courses’ (MOOCs) on the edX-platform. A MOOC is an online course aiming at large-scale interactive participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as videos, readings, and problem sets, MOOCs provide interactive user forums that help build a community for the students, professors, and teaching assistants. Participation is free, and a verified certificate can be added for a fee.
