MSc. Broadhead, J.S.

James Scott Broadhead is a lecturer and PhD candidate working at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. His main research interests are Human-Computer Interaction in the context of battery-free computing and sustainability in the Internet of Things.

Academic Background

Prior to joining TU Delft, James studied for a master’s degree in Digital Communications Networks at the University of Leeds and a bachelor's degree in Physics at the University of Oxford. He has also previously worked in collaboration with partners at Airbus Defence and Space and as a visiting researcher at Nokia Bell Labs.

James’s research focuses on understanding the interaction of humans with energy harvesting battery-free computers and identifying design opportunities in communities without access to traditional power infrastructure.
