X

The primary aim of X TU Delft (X) is to stimulate and facilitate the personal development of students and their connection with the academic community at TU Delft. This means that X is a place is a place on campus where you can develop in areas that are not always part of the academic curriculum, but invaluable none the less. X focuses on the needs of young people.

The three pillars of Products, Systems and Communication together make X's offer possible, in which some 15,000 students and staff members participate each year. Themes that underpin X’s programming are lifestyle, reflection, sports, games, arts and crafts. Thanks to the help of students (organisations), teachers and trainers, X is able to provide an attractive programme of courses, ticket hours, events and projects. In addition, students can initiate their own programming and/or activities and can make free use of facilities such as a student kitchen and student living room.

Staff members of X are characterised by their strong ambition to contribute to and participate in the personal development of people in general and students in particular. They are also committed to their own personal development and they have a strong capacity to learn.

D.S.V.V. “Punch”

The ‘Delftse Studenten Volleybal Vereniging Punch’ has been thé student volleyball club in Delft since 1950. Nowadays, Punch has 13 Men's and Women's teams of which the lowest team always consists of beginning volleyball players. This makes Punch the largest educator for adult volleyball in the region. Punch characterizes itself as an association with many enthusiastic and driven players who, in addition to volleyball, also look for bonding with the association. For example, every Friday after the home game night Punchers will go and have a drink at its society ('t Pand). There are also many activities that are organized by the many committees that Punch has.
Because Punch has a full-time Board and many active volunteers, things are well organized and there is a continuous effort to improve the association.

The university corporate office Education & Student Affairs (ESA) provides educational support by taking care of education and student administration, coordinating education policy, supporting and supervising Dutch and international students and PhD candidates, providing training in teaching and other areas, giving educational advice and support and organising sport and culture activities. ESA is made up of the departments Education Service Centre, Academic Services, Extension School and X. ESA employs around 250 staff. ESA is known within the TU Delft for the high-quality service it provides and has a pro-active and solution-oriented culture.

Job description 

As a trainer and coach, you are in charge of the training of Ladies 1 on Monday and Wednesday evenings. In addition, you will coach at matches on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon. You will be part of a dynamic and international work environment with motivated and enthusiastic students and colleagues. You will work closely together with the coaches of Ladies 2 and 3 and the Technical Committee. Finally, you are willing to support the annually changing Board with volleyball specific information in cooperation with the Technical Committee.

Job requirements

  • You have affinity with students.
  • You are enthusiastic, flexible and involved.
  • You have demonstrable experience in volleyball. 
  • You are willing to develop yourself as a trainer and coach.
  • You are (at least) in possession of a VT3 license.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and/or English language, both spoken and written.

Terms and conditions of employment

We offer you the opportunity to work as a self-employed person according to an established contract or to work as a teacher via an agreement with the Unique temporary employment agency.
