Everyone who has ever visited a concert knows that it takes a whole team to get the sound system up and running. This team of sound technicians is responsible for getting the sound system to accurately reproduce the band's sound. On a team, everyone will have their own tasks, but smaller concerts might be mixed by just a single person! They have to make sure that the crowd gets the sound they deserve, that musicians can hear themselves properly, and even have to set up, connect, adjust and tidy up all the microphones and speakers. It might sound like a lot of work, but the end result is worth it: the perfect sound experience!

A good sound technician is indispensable and is often considered part of the band. Want to know what all the buttons on the mixing board do and learn how to mix a live band? In this course you will learn everything you need to know to become a live sound technician.

In this course we will discuss which microphones to use, how to use analogue and digital mixers, what goes into a soundcheck and much more! There will be plenty of theory, but you will also have the chance to put everything you have learned into practice.
