Extensions

Use of an ‘own’ logo

Our visual identity, brand architecture and tone of voice promote the brand recognition of TU Delft. Certain parts of TU Delft carry an ‘own’ logo within TU Delft, in the form of a logo extension.

First and second layer

In a logo that uses an extension, we make a distinction between two ‘layers’, just like in the brand strategy. The first layer is reserved for the overarching TU Delft logo.

Logo extensions

A logo extension is an extra text, other than a descriptor, that is placed after the logo and divided from it by a vertical line.

A logo extension may be requested from the TU Delft Visual Communication department. Send an email to visualcommunication@tudelft.nl. The allocation of a logo extension is subject to conditions.

First and second layer

The first layer is made up of the TU Delft logo without the extension. The second layer is made up of the extension.

There is often a need for a ‘third’ layer, for example for a student group within a certain faculty. We are currently looking to find and design a suitable solution for this third layer. As soon as we know more about this, it will be shown here.

Third layer

A label has been developed for parts of TU Delft that are not entitled to a logo extension.
You can combine the label with the main logo or logo extension of your faculty, institute or department.
Place the label in a suitable place, appropriate to the product.
You can apply for the label via visualcommunication@tudelft.nl.
