Vera van der Burg is a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering and part of the Designing Intelligence Lab, I investigate how AI can become a tool for creative collaboration.
Academic Background
I am a designer and researcher focused on Artificial Intelligence and Design. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Delft Technical University's Designing Intelligence Lab, my research explores the use of AI as a tool for self-reflection in the creative process. I combine practical design work with scholarly investigation, utilizing a practice-based research approach that includes writing, publishing, and exhibiting. My work spans written publications, video projects, and installations, aiming to uncover new possibilities and enhance the creative experience through AI integration. Veraβs work has been exhibited at Dutch Design Week and Salone del mobile in Milan, and her writing has been published at conferences like Designing Interactive Systems (DIS) and the Design Research Society (DRS).
