Bachata is a passionate, sensual, reasonably fast and challenging partner dance. The dance style originated in the Dominican Republic, before spreading across the globe. Bachata consists of unique combinations of steps, patterns and turns. You'll recognise elements from other dance styles, such as the Cha Cha Cha, Zouk and Tango. Bachata has three main dance styles: Bachata Moderna, Sensual and Dominican. The music on which you will dance is also known as Bachata, which means ‘party vibe’ in Dominican-Spanish.

SoSalsa offers a wide selection of lessons for Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Rueda, ranging from beginner to more advanced courses. Join our practice sessions to practise your moves outside class hours, or dive into the parties right away! Our social dancing events offer everything that makes a great party: catchy Latin music, lively lights and drinks. Our TrioD nights extend all these with dinner, whereas the theme parties top the cake with their large dancefloors and special workshops.
