Ballet is a graceful and physically challenging dance that is practiced worldwide. Well-known pieces are Swan Lake and Nut Cracker.

During the beginners ballet course you will learn the basic techniques of this dance, including the basic posture, the positions of the feet and arms and the first exercises at the barre such as plie and tendu. The class consists of exercises at the barre, in the center and travelling exercises. You will focus on training the right coordination, strength, flexibility, body awareness and gracious movement.

The beginners course is perfect for you if you have no experience at all in this type of dance. In seven lessons you will learn the basics of this dance. After completing this course, you can move on to the next level, intermediate. If you feel you have not yet mastered the basics, you can of course register again for the beginners course.

During the intermediate course, you will learn movements such as the ‘ronde jambe’ and ‘fondu’. During these lessons, the movement combinations will expand while remaining focused on the specific dynamics of ballet.

The intermediate course is perfect for you if you have followed the beginners course at X or have already gained 6-12 months of experience in this dance elsewhere. The content of the course varies per course and can therefore be followed several times.
