Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three important fitness exercises: the squat, the bench press and the deadlift. This sport is about correctly moving a maximum weight in one go. Strength, balance and control are essential, and self-improvement is a key principle. It is one of the most widely practised strength sports in the world.

Strength-sport association DSKV IJzersterk arranges the powerlift training in collaboration with X. You can only follow this training via this association.

During the training you will become acquainted with the three disciplines of powerlifting: the squat, the bench press and the deadlift. You learn the technique by joining in. After a targeted warm-up, the focus lies on carrying out powerlifts safely. The weight will be adjusted to your limits so you can carry out the exercise in a technically correct manner.

Are you already familiar with the basics? Then you can start practising variations of the three powerlift disciplines (the squat, the bench press and the deadlift). You will improve your technique and training method, ultimately breaking through your limits. Experienced powerlifters will evaluate how good your technique is.
