Prices X offer 2023-2024

X’s rates are based on the existing pricing policy, a brief explanation of which can be found below.

X subscription price
The X subscription gives access to most X activities/facilities (associations, ticket hours, events, free use of indoor and outdoor facilities). The student rate for a 12-month X subscription for the 2023-2024 season is 161 euros. The prices for shorter subscriptions and staff subscriptions are based on this rate. For a complete overview of the rates, see: X subscription.

Fitness supplement price
The student rate for a 12-month fitness (gym) supplement for the 2023-2024 is 144 euros. The prices for shorter fitness subscriptions and staff fitness subscriptions are based on this rate. For a complete overview of the rates, see: X subscription.

Course prices
The course fees vary per course and are determined by the number of participants, content, material and type of course. The rates are indicated on the course pages. Registration for courses is separate from the X subscription.

X pricing policy
The general principle is that the combined contribution of all participants should cover 110% of the direct costs. These are the costs directly associated with the annual programme of our activities, such as the cost of trainers/instructors as well as materials and equipment. However, these direct costs are only part of the total costs. The other costs (for the building, staff, etc.) are covered by the remaining 10% of participant contributions, by TU Delft, and from income generated by X itself (proceeds from hospitality, room hire). We have also chosen to use an X subscription as the basis for providing access to most of the activities/facilities offered by X (associations, ticket hours, events, free use of indoor and outdoor facilities), in order to make the activities/facilities accessible to as many people as possible.

A price change has been agreed based on the pricing policy established for X by TU Delft. In the 2022-2023 subscription price X did not calculate the exceptional cost increases resulting from inflation in 2022 according to that method, because there was too much uncertainty regarding the impact of inflation on the purchasing power of students. We now see that X’s increased costs (energy, equipment, personnel costs) were not temporary and have continued over the 2022-2023 season. Acting on the developments above, X set the subscription price at 161 euros. Prices for other X products will increase proportionally.

Exceptions to this include the fitness subscription and food items. The price increase of the fitness subscription will remain relatively limited because preparations are currently underway for the implementation of a new fitness concept along with the corresponding pricing for 2024-2025. The price increase for food items remains relatively limited due to the various efforts made during the past year to maintain an attractive, varied menu at affordable prices.
