Bird Spotting

12 mei 2024 06:30 t/m 09:30 - Door: Communication | Zet in mijn agenda

Do you enjoy waking up to the sweet songs of birds in the morning? Intrigued by the variety of bird species that inhabit Delft? Join our off-campus Bird Spotting excursion to discover what there is to learn about these local birds!

Bird Spotting is a wonderful activity that gives you the chance to immerse yourself in nature. During this spring morning walk the focus will be on observing the diverse birdlife inhabiting the local ecosystems and we may even spot some meadow-dwelling birds. Come along and experience the joys of birdwatching.

Meeting point: Sustainability Center de Papaver (Korftlaan 6, 2616 LJ Delft) at 06:30.

De Papaver is located in the Delftse Hout area. We will leave our bicycles there and venture on foot into the surrounding forest, thickets, and wetland. With a bit of luck, we could encounter as many as 45 different bird species. Our instructors will be there to help you know where to look and which bird calls to listen for.

Don't forget to bring binoculars. If you don't own a pair, consider borrowing some from a friend or family member to enhance your birdwatching experience.
