Let's Dance

TU Delft’s own dance associations SoSalsa, Blue Suede Shoes and Dynamic have worked with X on creating an extraordinary program that caters to all dance enthusiasts. From energetic hip-hop to enchanting ballroom, fiery salsa to sultry tango, this is your chance to experience the magic of a wide variety of dance styles, all in one electrifying event!

Everybody is welcome at the dance social, even if you don’t plan to attend a workshop. The more the merrier!

Workshops: As a beginner or even seasoned dancer, you’ll have the opportunity to attend carefully curated workshops led by instructors from the associations. Our passionate teachers will guide you through the steps, ensuring you gain confidence and learn the basic of each dance style. With the workshops designed for all levels, this event is perfect for everyone, regardless of your prior dance experience. So, don’t worry if you’re new to the world of dance – come and let your inhibitions melt away, and watch as your dance skills blossom!

Social Dance: Once you’ve mastered the basics, it’s time to put your newfound moves into practice! The dance floor awaits you, the DJ sets the beats. So, get ready to show off your newly acquired skills, connecting with like-minded dance enthusiasts, and letting the rhythm guide your every step. Our dance social is the perfect opportunity to celebrate music and meet new people.

• Modern – learn a short modern solo dance choreography
• Bachata – beginner-friendly couple workshop that will give you the tools to have fun on the dance floor
• Argentine Tango – music, connection and improvisation: the essence of Argentine Tango in 45 minutes

• Jazz – a perfect solo dance style to hit the dance floors with no matter the kind of music being played
• Latin Fusion – combine latin-flavour with the power of street dance in a solo-dance choreography
• Lindy Hop – learn the basic steps and rhythms of Lindy-Hop, and some fun moves to get you started on the dance floor

• HipHop – who doesn’t want to be able to add at least of few HipHop moves to their dance routine
• Rueda – experience the uniquely chaotic latin dance that you do with the entire community
• Cha Cha – If you like energetic dances with a little sass, look no further than this introduction workshop for Cha Cha to get started with Latin Ballroom
