Living Library: the X TU Delft edition

21 mei 2024 18:00 t/m 21:00 - Door: Communication | Zet in mijn agenda

How is it to live with a borderline personality disorder? How is it to seek refuge coming from a war-torn land? Sounds like stories you read and wonder about? Then come to the Living Library at X and meet the main characters of these (and other) stories in person!

The Living Library is a proven concept of Danish origin that brings people from various backgrounds into contact with each other. One of the goals is to investigate and combat prejudices. In the Living Library you don't read books, but people. Interesting people, who most of us don’t speak to in everyday life. Does what we think about people based on their appearance match reality?

Just like a normal library where books provide access to unknown worlds, the Living Library also offers visitors the opportunity to step into someone else's world. In a very simple way: by talking to each other in an open-minded manner.

With successful editions since a decade now, Living Library Netherlands is coming to X TU Delft. A once in a blue moon chance for our community to engage and have a dialogue with the living books of the living library.

Don’t judge a book by its cover – they say! Come meet them and tackle your biases and prejudices in a safe, healthy space with vibrant dialog at Café X.
