Profiel

I'm Prakhar, an avid researcher with extensive experience as a professor and rocket scientist. Currently, I hold the position of Marie Curie Postdoctoral Researcher at the Space Engineering Department within the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft, a role I have assumed since July 2023. My academic journey began as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Amity University, India, where I dedicated six years of my career (2017-2023) to teaching and research. In 2017, I successfully completed my PhD at the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. During my doctoral studies, I delved into the intricacies of film cooling within liquid rocket combustion chambers, specifically investigating the influence of various hole shapes, sizes, arrangements, and coolant inlet velocities on cooling effectiveness. My research endeavors are firmly grounded in the pursuit of sustainable solutions within the space propulsion realm. I am particularly passionate about advancing the field through innovations related to green propellants, natural fibre-based composites, and ultra-high-temperature ceramic matrix composites, among other areas of interest. Beyond my research, I am a staunch advocate for open, collaborative, and reproducible science. I believe that the collective efforts of the scientific community can yield profound advancements that benefit society at large. During my leisure time, I find solace in unwinding to soothing melodies and engaging in the enriching pursuit of reading articles to expand my knowledge and explore new innovations. My multifaceted background, research acumen, and commitment to the principles of open science position me as a dedicated and forward-thinking contributor to the field of aerospace engineering and rocket science.
