Dr. Zhengxuan Liu was appointed to the position of Marie Sklodowska Curie European Fellow to Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft, on October 1 st, 2022. He started the postdoctoral research works at TU Delft on June 18th, 2021. He was a joint PhD candidate between Hunan University (China) and University of Lyon-ENTPE (France), and obtained his PhD degree in June 12th, 2019. His research interests mainly focus on Zero Carbon Technology Application, Low Carbon Energy Transition for Building & Community, Smart Building & Community, and Green Construction Innovation Management.

Zhengxuan was the Assistant Dean of Institute for Sustainable Urbanization & Construction Innovation in Hunan University before coming to Delft. He is currently the Executive-Chair of Marie Curie Alumni Association China Chapter. In 2022, he was won with the "Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral/Individual Fellowships" through an international competition (Approved funding of € 203,464.32 with a selected rate of about 13%), and honored as "Vebleo Fellow" which recognizes researchers or scientists who have prominence and leadership in the field of science, engineering, and technology, and 25-30 researchers are successfully nominated globally each year. 

Zhengxuan has published more than 60 research outputs, including 30  international journal papers (20 of them as the first or corresponding author), 4 invited book chapters, 32 Chinese patents and 2 software copyrights. 

Zhengxuan has been responsible for 4 research projects as the person-in-charge and collaborated in 5 other research projects. He has been guiding 2 PhD and 9 Master students in their research.

Zhengxuan is the Associate Editor for Journal of Housing and the Built Environment, He is the Editorial Board Member of 4 international journals (e.g., Sustainable Horizons, Buildings, Science Journal of Energy Engineering, etc.). He was the Guest Editor of 5 special issues for Sustainability, Applied Sciences and Processes, etc. He was a reviewer of more than 20 SCI international journals, e.g., Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments, Journal of Energy Storage, Energy and Buildings, etc.
