Dr. Z. (Zhikai) Peng

Profiel

Zhikai Peng's research at TU Delft focuses on urban climate and outdoor thermal comfort. His approach combines numerical simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with on-site fixed, walking, and cycling measurements, complemented by psychophysiological surveys (wearables, questionnaires and interview). Currently, he is a member of the Urban Comfort Lab, where he is involved in projects related to acoustics and climate, funded by the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.

Onderzoeksinteresses

Zhikai Peng's research interests include evaluating user comfort, spatial behaviours, and experiences in different sun and wind conditions in public spaces. He collaborates with experts from mechanical engineering, geography, and psychology.
