Dap Hartmann

Dap Hartmann is Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Delft University of Technology. In his lecture course Turning Technology into Business students from all seven TU Delft faculties analyze the business potential of new technologies developed at TU Delft and explore the possibility of starting a company based on that idea. This has resulted in two dozen new technology-based startup companies. He teaches masterclasses to PhD students where they learn how to estimate the economic, societal and environmental impact of their research, and in which way this impact can best be achieved. Dap is a six-time recipient of the New Venture Award for the best entrepreneurship education in the Netherlands. In 2010 he received the Delft Entrepreneurial Motivator Award.
