Cooperations

Find out more about our cooperations within the three research themes of the faculty Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science.

At EEMCS our team of dedicated scientists and researchers is passionately engaged in creating groundbreaking engineering solutions and technologies. Our drive is fueled by both curiosity and a commitment to apply our discoveries in meaningful ways. We thrive on collaboration, uniting our efforts to pioneer innovative, responsible technologies that address critical societal challenges. Our research is diverse and far-reaching, encompassing vital areas such as health and wellbeing, the energy transition, and the advancement of our digital society. Moreover, we delve into key technology areas like communication and sensing, artificial intelligence, and unconventional computing & quantum technologies through an interdisciplinary lens.

We are proud to announce that our faculty has experienced significant growth in recent years, embarking on larger projects, establishing long-lasting partnerships, and fostering collaborations with top-tier universities. This expansion has enabled us to develop thriving ecosystems, and we are eager to continue this trajectory to amplify our societal impact.

Our doors are wide open for collaboration. We're actively seeking new national and international partners to join us in our journey of discovery and innovation. In the near future, we are excited to launch several new research initiatives. For instance, our comprehensive Artificial Intelligence program is supported by various ICAI labs and includes an extensive, long-term initiative through NWO. We have also initiated substantial projects with key industry leaders in energy transition, quantum and unconventional computing, and communication & sensing, often through public-private partnerships that include other universities and government bodies. Additionally, we are gearing up to respond more intensely to opportunities presented by the European Union's Chips Act.

We invite companies, institutions, and innovators to collaborate with us. Together, we can explore uncharted territories in technology and engineering, creating solutions that benefit not just our immediate communities but the global society at large. Let's join forces to shape a better, more sustainable future.
