Profile

Mireia is a PhD candidate in Human-Computer Interaction at TU Delft where she works as part of the Knowledge and Intelligence Design team. She is also a Marie-Skłodowska Curie fellow at the DCODE European project. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Human-AI interaction and Algorithmic Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency.  Mireia holds a MSc in Industrial (mechanical) Engineering and a BSc in Industrial Technology Engineering from the University of Navarra, Spain.

Mireia Yurrita Semperena is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering exploring design and engineering methods for developing algorithmic systems in a principled manner. As part of her PhD, Mireia is developing novel tools for shaping, testing and evolving machine behaviour based on approaches drawn from data science and HCI.
