"Most of all I miss the spontaneity in everyday life."

Recently,...

...the focus of our work as a Host at X changes every day. During the lockdown in March, the mailbox exploded with questions. Now we mostly keep an eye on checking whether everyone has a reservation. Sometimes it is difficult to explain the rules that you might not find completely logical, but luckily most customers are very understanding and it is nice to see everyone visiting us!

X follows...

...the face masks policy of TU Delft. In principle, you are supposed to wear a face mask on X when entering and moving through the building. Of course it can be taken off during sports or in the music rehearsal rooms, but it is very pleasant for the Hosts and everyone if we all adhere to this as much as possible.

I notice...

...that most visitors are very positive about the measures that X has drawn up. With the current measures, things are different than it just to be, but fortunately at X, much of the offer can continue in an adapted form. However, the fitness and many ticket hours are fully booked quite quickly, so sometimes there is some frustration when a customer does not manage to register. As Host, we try to draw your attention to the other (morning) ticket hours and of course we keep a close eye on the booking system if a spot becomes available.

Most of all I miss...

...the spontaneity in everyday life. I often studied with fellow students in a project room at the TU, and we regularly ended up at the Beestenmarkt in the afternoon. I would also have liked to do an internship abroad, but unfortunately this is not possible for the time being. When everything turns back to normal, I can't wait to join all the Christmas dinners that will be organised throughout the year!
