Electric vehicles (EVs) are going to take over the conventional cars industry like a wave in the foreseeable future. However, an increased EV penetration can lessen grid reliability. Therefore, it is important to address how to maintain EV charging and use it in such a way that it will not pose a threat to the grid rather become its helping hand? To answer the aforementioned question, a smart charging algorithm with V2G is developed which will allow EV to perform V2G and also keep in check the degradation of the battery due to frequent charging and discharging while performing V2G.
