We are very proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Ir. Peter Palensky, professor of Intelligent Electrical Power Grids at Delft University of Technology, will be giving the prestigious Hidde Nijl speech about “'Digital Energy” at 15:00 on Friday 16 December at Aula, TU Delft. The Hidde Nijland speech is delivered every 4 years by a person who has earned his spurs in electrical energy technology! Peter will be awarded with the Hidde Nijland Medal 2022 after the speech. Many congratulations to Peter!!

The Board of the Dr.Ir. H.A. Hidde Nijland Foundation is pleased to invite you to this exciting and festive event. The meeting will take place on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 3 p.m. in the Aula Congress Center of the Technical University, Mekelweg 5 in Delft (building 20). After the ceremony there will be a reception to meet Prof. dr. Ir. Peter Palensky and congratulate to him and his partner. The speech is delivered in such a way that non-technical people can also understand. So everyone can register!

The Hidde Nijland Foundation is committed to the promotion of everything that, in the opinion of the Board can contribute to the development of science and education in the field of Electrical Energy Technology and the technology of the Electricity supply at the Technical Universities of the Netherlands, in the broadest sense of the word.

In this context, an event takes place once every two years, at which either the person invited for that purpose delivers the Hidde Nijland speech, or the designated person receives the Hidde Nijland prize (a cash prize). The person who pronounces the Hidde Nijland speech will receive the Hidde Nijland medal.
