The aviation sector amounts 2.5% of global CO2 emissions. This research analyzes the contribution of a BESS to enable electric aircraft charging at Bonaire. Different control strategies will be modeled and analyzed for the voltage fluctuations, grid cable load, LCOE, and CO2 emissions from grid electricity at Bonaire. Lastly, due to the uncertainty of electric aviation, future scenarios are drafted and used for a sensitivity analysis.
