This year's annual conference is a fact. "Optimizing Today's Energy System for a Better Tomorrow", hosted by the faculty of 3ME, will be a day full of insights and innovations in control and optimization for energy systems. In an era where sustainable energy systems are critical, this conference illuminates the instruments that facilitate this transition while ensuring a safe supply for tomorrow. There will be ample opportunities to learn about state-of-the-art developments and connect with industry peers over lunch and the closing drinks.

Travel to Delft X
This year's conference will be held at Delft X. This location is reachable by car and public transport. 

Upon entering Delft X, turn left past the information desk and take the stairs to the first floor (green route). Keep following the hallway to the left to reach the Freetown Foyer (location 1 on the map). This is where the registration will take place. To get to the keynote location, take the stairs (location 2) to the second floor, then go to Theater Hall (location 3). 

Registration
The registration opens at 9:00. You will be greeted by our staff, who will give you your nametag. There will also be coffee/tea until the start of the program at 9:30. Please give yourself a buffer so you don't miss anything from this exciting program.

  • Keynote: Jalal Kazempour (DTU Denmark) on integrating power-to-X hybrid power plants into energy markets with the help of computational tools.
  • Keynote: John Simpson-Porco on hierarchical power system control using inverter-based resources.
  • Deep Dive: Understanding electric vehicles and the grid - exploring power electronics to human-AI collaboration.
  • Launch: EnergySHR, our open AI/energy data platform.
  • Awards: Celebrating winners of the "Learning 2 Run a Power Network (L2RPN)" AI Competition and Young Energy Leader (YEL) Awards.

Note: The EnergySHR and L2RPN sessions will be parallel sessions. Please decide in advance which one you'd like to attend.
