English Conversation Group

Are you an international partner of a TU Delft employee looking to improve your English skills? Consider joining the English Conversation Group where you will practice English in a safe environment free from judgment among other internationals facing the same challenges. 

Please Note: 

• This group is not intended for academic purposes or IELTS preparation. Instead, it focuses on helping participants enhance their everyday English proficiency.  
• Participants are encouraged to actively engage and contribute to the sessions. While guidance and support will be provided, self-motivation and effort are key.

Partners of International TU Delft employees (between A2 and B1) 

When 
From 13 April – 18 May 

The group will meet online every Saturday, from 10.00 – 11.00. The fourth session will be held in person, for face-to-face interaction and further language immersion.  

The session will be as below: 
Session 1: 13 April (online) 
Session 2: 20 April (online) 
Session 3: 4 May (online) 
Session 4: 18 May (in -person)

How can you join the group? 
Send us an email with your mobile number to Events-ComingtoDelftServices@tudelft.nl telling us you would like to join the English Conversation Group. 
To ensure that all participants start at the same level, we conduct a brief intake call before the first session. During this call, we’ll assess your current English proficiency to tailor our session accordingly.  

About Mahsa 

The group will be led by one of our international community members, Mahsa Sajedi. 
Mahsa is an Iranian-born, Australian teacher and learning developer. In Australia, she was a high school teacher and passionate about educational equity and student voice. In the Netherlands, she works in the design and development of Master and Online courses, and volunteers her time for different causes. 
She enjoys practicing yoga, reading and hiking. She looks forward to meeting you all and having great conversations.
