Beyond Cure and Care: a Symposium on Purposeful Play for better Health

As part of the celebrations in honour of TU Delft’s Alumnus of the Year, Hester le Riche, on the morning of 6th February, IDE will host a symposium in her honour - bringing together inspiring design, cutting-edge science and human impact.

At Beyond Cure and Care: a Symposium on Purposeful Play for better Health, Hester will be joined on stage by Philip Scheltens, Emeritus Professor of Neurology and founder of the Alzheimer Centre at Amsterdam University Medical Centers, Richard Goossens, professor of Physical Ergonomics at IDE, as well as IDE Medisign graduates and researchers with an interest in healthcare.  Moderated by Assistant Prof. Jos Kraal, you can expect presentations, panel discussions and prototypes. The symposium, starting at 10:00 am, will be followed the unveiling of a plaque in Hester’s honour and a networking lunch served in the IDE Hall.
