Vision and Depiction Conference 2024

07 februari 2024 09:00 t/m 09 februari 2024 18:00 | Zet in mijn agenda

You are invited to attend the Vision and Depiction conference on 7 – 9 February at IDE.

The conference, which is being organised by Maarten Wijntjes and Catelijne van Middelkoop, builds on their previously organised events that focus on the interface between artistic practice and perception studies centred around the topic of materials.

Through Vision and Depiction, the scope will be broadened to include a variety of formal elements that make up visual design, such as texture, colour, light, space and shape. Acting as a magnet, these elements will attract a diverse group of scientist, scholars, artists, and designers.

In addition to a fantastic ‘keynote collective’, the event will also feature several short talks and poster presentations from the international community. Other highlights will include moments with IDE alumnus Persijn Broersen who ended up becoming a successful artist; the famous Dutch cartoonist and graphic designer Joost Swarte; a lecture about Ice Age art by Paul Pettitt; and of course, a workshop by our Delft Design Drawing team!
