Ir. Das, M.N.S.

Manabendra Nath Das is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sustainable Design Engineering (SDE) of the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE). His research lies in computational mechanics, topology optimization, additive manufacturing, and finite element methods.

Academic Background

He obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in High-Tech Engineering from the Department of Precision and Microsystems Engineering (PME) of the faculty of 3ME at TU Delft. He did his bachelors in India and obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai.

Along with his studies, he was part of the dream team in both bachelors and masters, where he was involved in the design and development of Formula 1 prototype racecars and competed in both the electric and combustion categories across Europe.
