The 2021/2022 OKIO board – delegate for ID staff and students

News - 20 October 2021 - Communication

The OKIO (statutory Board of Studies) of IDE advises the Board of Education (OD/ BoE), and (indirectly) the dean of the faculty, regarding the quality of education. By doing so, the OKIO represents IDE’s teaching staff and students. The OKIO is the joint Board of Studies (comprised of five staff members and five students) for the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering’s four programmes: IO, DfI, SPD, and IPD.

Depending on the topic, the OKIO either has the right of approval or an advisory role. The aim is to contribute to the quality of all the above-mentioned programmes regarding the content of the education, the type(s) of education, and the organisation and communication about education.

In its correspondence with the OD/BoE, the OKIO addresses both current business and unsolicited advice. The latter concerns affairs of which we think – from a staff and/or student perspective – requires OKIO’s and the OD’s attention. The OKIO invites all students and staff to reach out to the OKIO whenever they feel the need to, regarding all possible education-related (or the organisation thereof) topics.
